OUR MINISTRY VISION
For the glory of God, to be a gospel-driven
church where the truth of God’s Word, the
love of Christ, and the joy of the Holy Spirit
radiate outward to transform the spiritual and cultural landscape
of the Upper Ohio Valley and beyond.
OUR MINISTRY PURPOSE
We are a Bible-believing, Christ-centered community
of faith. We exist for the purpose of glorifying God and advancing
His kingdom by bringing people to Christ and developing
dynamic disciples of Christ through their involvement in
worship, learning, fellowship, outreach and mercy ministry (Matthew
28:16-20).
OUR MINISTRY PRIORITIES
- Vibrant worship that exalts the name of
the Jesus Christ and reveals a sensitivity to His presence and
a desire to fully obey His Word. Worshiping God in Spirit
and Truth.
- Constant, fervent and bold intercessory prayer
as the backbone of our ministry. A praying people at worship,
work, witness and warfare.
- A holistic ministry in the region through deeds
of mercy, compassion and racial reconciliation. Being
salt and light to our neighbors.
- Expository preaching of the whole counsel of God
and the faithful teaching of all of God’s Word. The
Word of God from pulpit and classroom.
- Being a warm, welcoming community of faith that
expresses genuine interest in newcomers and extends gracious hospitality
to guests. A friendly church where no one remains a stranger.
- Direct involvement of every member in ministries,
service projects, and programs using their spiritual gifts and
coordinated teamwork. Every member a ministry.
- Sacrificial giving of time, talents, and treasure
to the service of Christ and His Kingdom. Developing a
healthy stewardship lifestyle.
- Evangelistic emphasis on personal witnessing,
local outreach, home missions, church planting and church revitalization,
and an integrated approach to world missions. Reaching
the world with the world on our doorstep.
- Promoting lifelong spiritual learning, ministry
training and leadership development. A growing church
produced by growing people.
- Upholding and restoring biblical patterns of marriage,
parenting and the enjoyment of godly relationships. Building
strong Christian families.
- Maintaining a supportive, multi-generational congregation,
that lives and works together as God’s family. A
church large enough to celebrate and small enough to care.
- Spiritual encouragement for the multi-faceted
needs of people: families, single parents, children, youth, young
adults and senior citizens. Serving God by serving others.
